Mound densities here run visibly higher than in the older parts of town. Broadcast bait timed to foraging works; treating mounds individually mostly relocates the colony.

Garland has creek corridors running through the middle of residential areas plus a lake on its eastern boundary, and older parts of town still have open drainage ditches that hold water for days after a storm. Barrier treatment gives real relief on your own property, but a home backing onto a creek should expect to stay on an interval through the season rather than treat once.
